The Real Estate Market Survives even a Pandemic!

Well, we all made it through 2020. As I sit here on New Year’s Day I am struck by how many blessings last year brought to us. Although the year taught us that the only constant in life is change. It also showed us how resourceful and resilient we can be when we must. Those are big life lessons to learn. While, Annie and I did not have our best year in sales,  we did do a substantial number of transactions helping both buyers and sellers with their real estate needs. It was truly rewarding to help people through these uncharted waters of selling or buying during a pandemic. It did present new problems to resolve and kept us on our toes as problem solvers. But thanks to people like you we accomplished every one of our transactions successfully. It is wonderful to work with such great customers like you.

Now we enter into 2021 with a fresh sense of optimism. The vaccine is here as promised. Although things will never be exactly the same, if we learned anything from last year, we know that we will find new solutions to this new year. 

One current phenomenon I am seeing is that a number of people really improved their living situation. Some by upgrading their current home. Others by selling their current home at record setting prices (homes in the 13 County Metro topped $300,000 for the first time ever). Then, they would move on to the next home with financing at a record low interest rate (sometimes less than 3%). That is truly historic. I saw many improve their situation and save as much as $700 a month in the process. There has never been a better time to move up.
